Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in U.S. payroll management or administration.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations, tax laws, and wage/hour compliance.
  • Experience managing payroll across multiple states.
  • Strong technical proficiency in payroll software.
  • Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reconciliation.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Adaptable, hands-on, and proactive in a scaling, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for U.S. employees.
  • Manage federal, state, and local payroll tax filings.
  • Liaise with payroll service providers to resolve issues.
  • Conduct regular audits of payroll data.
  • Develop and implement scalable payroll processes.
  • Prepare payroll-related reports and metrics for leadership.
  • Stay current on U.S. payroll laws and regulations.
  • Respond to employee inquiries related to pay and benefits.
  • Partner with HR and Accounting on onboarding/offboarding.
