Job description

Within Urology Services, a two-year opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 Clinical Nurse Specialist role. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist in Urology to join our multidisciplinary team. This is a pivotal role supporting both surgical and cancer pathways for urology patients, ensuring seamless, compassionate care across the service.,

• The Clinical Nurse Specialist will contribute to the Urology Service acting as a key worker to provide support and information for patients. The post holder will promote and maintain high professional standards of nursing care to patients.
• The Clinical Nurse will practice autonomously and in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team to assess, plan and implement patients care and provide highly specialist advice.
• The Specialist Nurse will promote a culture that recognises and meets the specialists and complex needs of urological, whilst ensuring that performance targets are met.
• To ensure a person-centred approach to care for people affected by cancer within the Urology speciality.
• To contribute to improving the care and outcomes for Urological patients by leading and implementing best practice and ensuring all care is evidence based.
• The Clinical Nurse Specialist will provide leadership and manage the Urology Unit and Urology Nursing team.
