Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join our professionally challenging and rewarding justice service. You will carry out a range of duties in relation to the supervision of groups of 5 people with convictions, who will be undertaking unpaid work within the community. This is a seven day a week service and your working days will be Saturday and Sunday.

It is essential that you have experience of working with the public, including the delivery of a front-line service, record keeping and dealing with people from diverse backgrounds. You must be an effective communicator, both verbally and in writing; have organisational and time management skills; and the ability to provide effective customer service, including dealing with difficult situations.

You will have the ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative; have a positive view of the welfare of all individuals and social circumstances; and have a responsible approach to sensitive information.

Experience within a social work setting, gardening and environmental, DIY and a proven interest or ability in Arts & Crafts is desirable.

A driving licence and experience of driving a minibus (including Cat D, pick-up trucks and trailers is also desirable.

Full training and support will be given to ensure that you are able to maintain the Children's Services commitment to continuous improvement.
