Main duties

Your focus as Unit Manager - Clinical will be to provide a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff. You will lead a team of nurses, senior carers and carers, enhance and promote residents’ quality of life through effective care planning, and support the management team in various aspects of the home’s operations.

Job responsibilities

  • Lead a team of nurses, senior carers and carers to provide staff support, including demonstrations and instruction of care activities.
  • Enhance and promote residents’ quality of life through effective care planning.
  • Manage and participate in the rota to ensure staff coverage and that the unit is adequately staffed.
  • Support the Deputy Manager and Clinical Managers in managing the medication systems and ordering and distributing prescribed medication to residents.

Shift details: 8.00 am – 8.00 pm and 8.00 pm – 8.00 am

About you

To be successful, you will live our values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful and accountable in all that you do. Our ideal candidate must have:

  • An active NMC PIN.
  • NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
  • At least two years’ experience working within a care home environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
