Qualifications

We are searching for an Aerospace Underwriter to form a key part of this team. In this role, you will help drive the growth of our aerospace portfolio with key brokers and clients, while maintaining and developing a portfolio of existing accounts. Key Responsibilities
  • Underwrite new business and renewals in line with Chubb’s underwriting guidelines, budget, and local business plan.
  • Build, maintain, and develop a robust portfolio of existing and new aerospace accounts.
  • Represent and promote the Chubb brand to brokers, clients, and internal stakeholders—acting as a true ambassador for our business.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to shape underwriting strategy, forecasts, and portfolio management to achieve profitability targets.
  • Deliver exceptional service to clients and internal business partners, ensuring Chubb’s reputation for quality and reliability is upheld.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with internal teams and external partners to foster a culture of collaboration and shared success.
Qualifications
Skills and Experience
  • 18+ months of aviation (underwriting/broking) or relevant market experience.
  • Strong understanding of the insurance market, with a proven track record of working with brokers and clients.
  • Results-driven, with the confidence to make decisions and work independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence at all levels.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.
  • Committed to delivering high-quality service to clients and colleagues.
  • ACII qualification (or working towards) preferred, but not essential.
