Overview

Ulan West is an established, efficient, and high‑production underground longwall coal mining operation located a short drive from the picturesque town of Mudgee, in the western coalfields of NSW. You will be part of a dynamic, high‑performing team using the most advanced technology available to achieve the highest possible operating standards efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain machinery and equipment to accomplish safe production and maintenance activities.
• Install electrical distribution and network systems.
• Maintain compliance and complete inspections in accordance with Engineering Management plans.
• Conduct fault finding and diagnostics on complex systems including continuous miners, automated longwall systems, surface and underground conveyors, and communications and networking systems.

Qualifications

• Electrical trade qualification.
• Experience working in heavy industry or defence on a range of complex electrical plant.
• Exceptional team member with a can‑do attitude.
• Absolute commitment to safety and safe working practices.
• Experience working in an underground longwall coal mining operation is desirable, although not essential.
