Job summary

Baldwins Crane Hire Ltd is seeking a Mobile Crane Hire Desk Manager at the Newport Depot. The role focuses on coordinating crane rentals, scheduling, and contract preparation to ensure efficient delivery to clients across the UK.

You will liaise with clients, operators, and the safety team to maintain high service levels, accurate paperwork, and timely invoicing while maintaining a strong emphasis on compliance and safety.

Qualifications

• Experience in crane or heavy equipment rental preferred.
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to crane operations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and respond to client inquiries about mobile crane rentals; advise on crane options and quotations.
• Schedule and dispatch cranes based on project timelines; coordinate with operators for safe delivery.
• Prepare rental contracts and documentation; ensure terms and safety regulations are met.
• Coordinate transportation logistics for delivery and pickup of cranes.
• Work with maintenance to ensure cranes are serviced and records kept.
• Enforce health and safety practices and coordinate with Safety team.
• Address operational issues promptly to minimise project disruptions.
• Provide professional customer support throughout the rental process and handle inquiries.
• Assist with invoicing, billing, and financial records related to crane rentals.
• Maintain up-to-date records of crane rental transactions and archiving.
