Job description

We're looking for a UI Designer to join a UK, Unreal Engine specialist studio and create visually appealing and easy to use interfaces to a AAA standard.

As a UI Designer you'll work closely with colleagues in Production, Programming, Design and Art to translate the project brief into player friendly and engaging UI design.

Based in the Midlands, the studio offers remote working from anywhere within the UK.

Your responsibilities
  • Ensure content is optimised for real-time rendering applications, in line with quality / performance targets, and compliant with project-specific constraints
  • Create wireframes, mock-ups, and previs using industry-standard design tools, effectively communicating design concepts and interactions
  • Work closely with Leads and the Production to help prioritise tasks and feedback, and meet project milestones on time
  • Problem‑solve technical issues and workflow hurdles within your field
  • Collaborate with the Art team to ensure consistency, quality and coherence in visual design and artistic direction for each individual project
  • Stay up to date with the latest UI Design and Art trends, tools, and technologies that could help the wider team and actively contribute to the improvement of the pipeline
  • Conduct usability testing and analyse user feedback to find areas of improvement and optimise the user experience
  • Following best practices in user‑centred design across a range of visual styles
The skills and experience you'll bring to the role
  • 3 or more years of professional UE 4 / 5 experience
  • Portfolio of UI designs
  • Based in the UK and have full right to work in the UK
  • Bonus points if you have programming / implementational skills
