Overview

Prospero Teaching are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Tutor to support a young person with speech and language difficulties. The role will focus not only on developing academic progress but also on supporting the young person's social, emotional, and mental health needs, which are impacted by their communication challenges.

Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one support for 3 hours per day (with flexibility on exact timings).
  • Support the young person's academic learning in a tailored and accessible way.
  • Encourage communication skills through structured and informal activities.
  • Build confidence and resilience by creating a safe, supportive learning environment.
  • Use strategies that consider both the educational and emotional needs of the young person.
  • Work collaboratively with parents/carers and, where appropriate, other professionals to ensure consistent support.

  • Role: Tutor 1:1 support - focusing on Speech and Language needs
  • Hours: 3 hours per day (flexible timings)
  • Location: In person
