Overview

Job Title: Turner / Machinist.

Location: Mallusk

Reports to: Workshop Manager

GES Group are an industry-leading electrical and mechanical engineering company. We are looking for an ambitious, hard-working, and motivated individual, who is enthusiastic to work within the fast-paced Engineering sector, and who is a quick learner with a desire to progress to a higher level within their field. This role is full time (38 hours p/w) with potential for overtime, and 29 days holiday per year, inclusive of 8 statutory holidays.

Essential Criteria
  • Qualified / skilled in the use of manually operated machines such as Lathes, milling machine, slotting machine, vertical borer, Vertical Drills etc.
  • Experience / qualified in the use of calibrated measuring equipment such as micrometers, Vernier calipers etc.
  • Applicants must be flexible to work outside of “normal working hours” if required, and have the availability to travel to work at client locations.

The successful candidate must be able to work within a team, and possess good communication and literacy skills. The successful candidate should aim to broaden their knowledge and understanding, and work efficiently and accurately, with a high level of dependability, being able to meet deadlines, complete paperwork, and follow detailed instructions. Good IT skills are preferred but not essential.

Desirable Criteria
  • Have work experience in an industrial/repair environment; working with electric motors/generators, and general rotational machinery
