Our Team

Welcome to the Audi F1 Project.

Audi will be competing in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship from 2026.

The new team has three locations: the Motorsport Competence Center of Audi in Neuburg (Germany), the Sauber Group's Formula 1 factory in Hinwil (Switzerland), and the Sauber Motorsport Technical Center in the UK. Our Power Unit is developed in Neuburg, while Hinwil focuses on chassis and race operations.

The position for the Audi F1 Project is based at Audi Formula Racing GmbH in Neuburg (Germany).

In internal combustion engine development, you will work on the combustion process and calibration of a high-performance powertrain. Your tasks include developing maximum performance and efficiency in combustion processes, turbocharging, and calibration, while ensuring reliability. You will perform development measures during concept, design, commissioning, and testing phases.

Your Mission
  1. Development of combustion process and gas-exchange via 3D-CFD simulations
  2. Thermodynamic development of engine gas-exchange, combustion phase, and flow simulation of intake & exhaust systems
  3. Planning, performing, and evaluating 3D CFD simulations with proper reports
  4. Correlation of simulation data with measurement data from engine testing
  5. Improving workflows and toolchains for simulation and test data correlation
Your Profile
  • Technical degree in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, fluid mechanics (bachelor's, master's, Diplom, or Dr.-Ing.)
  • Several years of experience in internal combustion development (3D CFD simulation)
  • Broad knowledge of engine technology and virtual development tool chains
  • Experience with data handling from testbenches
  • Excellent teamwork, organizational skills, and responsibility
  • Independent and precise working practices
  • Proficiency in German or English; willingness to learn the other language
