Our Team: Welcome to the Audi F1 Project.

Audi will be competing in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship from 2026.

The new team has three locations: the Motorsport Competence Center of Audi in Neuburg (Germany), the Sauber Group's Formula 1 factory in Hinwil (Switzerland), and the Sauber Motorsport Technical Center in the UK. Our Power Unit is developed in Neuburg, while Hinwil focuses on chassis and race operations.

The position for the Audi F1 Project is based at Audi Formula Racing GmbH in Neuburg, Germany.

Your role involves working on the combustion process and calibration of a high-performance powertrain within internal combustion engine development. You will focus on maximizing engine performance and efficiency, ensuring reliability, and performing development measures during concept, design, commissioning, and testing phases.

Your Mission
  1. Development of combustion process and gas-exchange via 3D-CFD simulations
  2. Thermodynamic development of the internal combustion engine, including gas-exchange, combustion phase, and flow simulation of intake & exhaust systems
  3. Planning, performing, and evaluating 3D CFD simulations with proper reports
  4. Correlating simulation data with measurement data from engine operation and testbenches
  5. Improving workflows and toolchains for simulation and test data correlation
Your Profile
  • Technical degree in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, fluid mechanics (bachelor's, master's, Diplom, or Dr.-Ing.)
  • Several years of professional experience in internal combustion development and 3D CFD simulation
  • Broad knowledge of engine technology and virtual development tool chains
  • Experience handling data from testbenches
  • Excellent teamwork, organizational skills, and a strong sense of responsibility
  • Independent and precise working practices
  • Proficiency in German or English, with willingness to learn the other language
