Our Team: Welcome to the Audi F1 Project.

Audi will be competing in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship from 2026.

The new team has three locations: the Motorsport Competence Center of Audi in Neuburg (Germany), known for its modern facilities; the Sauber Group's Formula 1 factory in Hinwil (Switzerland), recognized for innovative technologies; and the Sauber Motorsport Technical Center in the UK, operational this year. Our Power Unit is developed in Neuburg, while Hinwil focuses on chassis and race operations.

The position is based at Audi Formula Racing GmbH in Neuburg, Germany.

In internal combustion engine development, you will work on the combustion process and calibration of a high-performance powertrain. Your goal is to optimize engine performance and efficiency in combustion, turbocharging, and calibration, while ensuring reliability. You will be involved in development from concept and design to commissioning and testing.

Your Mission

• Develop combustion processes and gas exchange via 3D-CFD simulations.
• Conduct thermodynamic development of engine gas exchange, combustion phases, and flow simulations of intake and exhaust systems.
• Plan, perform, and evaluate 3D CFD simulations with proper reporting.
• Correlate simulation data with measurement data from engine tests and test benches.
• Improve workflows and toolchains for simulation and data correlation.

Your Profile

• Technical degree in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, fluid mechanics (bachelor's, master's, diploma, or doctorate).
• Several years of experience in internal combustion engine development, especially 3D CFD simulation.
• Strong knowledge of engine technology and virtual development tool chains.
• Experience with data handling from test benches.
• Excellent teamwork, organizational skills, and responsibility.
• Independent, precise working style.
• Proficiency in German or English, with willingness to learn the other language.
