Our team welcomes you to the Audi F1 Project. Audi will compete in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship from 2026. The new team has three locations: the Motorsport Competence Center of Audi in Neuburg, Germany; the Sauber Group's Formula 1 factory in Hinwil, Switzerland; and the Sauber Motorsport Technical Center in the UK. Our Power Unit is developed in Neuburg, while Hinwil focuses on chassis and race operations.

We are looking for individuals with an athlete's mindset—those who see limits as challenges to overcome. Join us to bring Vorsprung durch Technik to Formula 1 and make motorsport history. The position is based at Audi Formula Racing GmbH in Neuburg, Germany.

Responsibilities

• Develop combustion process and gas-exchange via 3D-CFD simulations
• Perform thermodynamic development of the engine, including combustion and flow simulations of intake and exhaust systems
• Plan, execute, and evaluate 3D CFD simulations with proper documentation
• Correlate simulation data with engine and testbench measurements
• Improve workflows and tools for simulation and data correlation

Qualifications

• Technical degree in mechanical, automotive engineering, fluid mechanics, or related fields (Bachelor's, Master's, Diplom, or Dr.-Ing.)
• Several years of experience in internal combustion engine development, especially 3D CFD simulation
• Strong knowledge of engine technology and virtual development tool chains
• Experience with data handling from testbenches
• Excellent teamwork, organizational skills, and responsibility
• Independent and precise working style
• Proficiency in German or English; willingness to learn the other language is a plus
