Our Team: Welcome to the Audi F1 Project.

Audi will be competing in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship from 2026.

The new team has three locations: the Motorsport Competence Center of Audi in Neuburg (Germany), one of the most modern of its kind in Europe; the Sauber Group's Formula 1 factory in Hinwil (Switzerland), known for innovative technologies; and the Sauber Motorsport Technical Center in the UK, operational this year. Our Power Unit is developed in Neuburg, while Hinwil focuses on chassis and race operations.

Position:

The position is based at Audi Formula Racing GmbH in Neuburg, Germany.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop combustion process and gas-exchange via 3D-CFD simulations.
  • Conduct thermodynamic development of the internal combustion engine, including gas-exchange, combustion phases, and flow simulations of intake and exhaust systems.
  • Plan, perform, and evaluate 3D CFD simulations with proper reporting.
  • Create correlations with measurement data from engine testing and testbenches.
  • Develop processes and improve workflows and toolchains for simulation and data correlation.
Your Profile:
  • Technical degree in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, fluid mechanics, or related fields (bachelor's, master's, Diplom, or Dr.-Ing.).
  • Several years of professional experience in internal combustion engine development and 3D CFD simulation.
  • Broad knowledge of engine technology and virtual development toolchains.
  • Experience handling data from testbenches.
  • Excellent teamwork, organizational skills, and a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Ability to work independently and precisely.
  • Proficiency in German or English; willingness to learn the other language is a plus.
