Job summary

Job description

A Vacancy at Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

We are seeking an enthusiastic FY3 or CT1–2 grade doctor for a full time 40 hours per week post, over a 6‑month fixed term, focusing on Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) quality improvement across both Aintree and Royal sites. The role is based on-site and offers a unique opportunity to lead and support system‑wide improvements in CKD care.

Start Date is expected to be February 2026.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement the CKD alert bundle at both Aintree and Royal Liverpool sites.
  • Develop and deliver a CKD care bundle for patients admitted with CKD and unplanned hospital admissions.
  • Contribute to CKD‑related quality improvement work across the Integrated Care Board (ICB), including developing an integrated proactive care approach.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to embed improvements in practice.
  • Gain hands‑on experience with QI methodology and its practical application.
  • Collect, analyse, and publish data/findings from the improvement work to share learning locally and nationally.
