The Trust is seeking a Trust Grade Doctor to join the Kingfisher Mother and Baby Unit based at Hellesdon Hospital, Norwich.

Main duties of the job

In 2019, NSFT opened Kingfisher Ward, a Specialised Commissioned Mother and Baby Unit based at the Hellesdon Hospital site.

This post relates to the whole of the county of Norfolk, providing care to a population of approximately 931,900 people. There are approximately 7700 live births per year in Norfolk. The perinatal service in Norfolk consistently and significantly exceeds the access target that 670 patients should access the service in a rolling 12-month period.

NSFT is an active member of the regional perinatal provider collaborative and employs the clinical lead for the collaborative. Alongside the community perinatal mental health teams and inpatient MBU ward, NSFT's perinatal services include a Parent and Infant Mental Health Service.

The post holder is appointed as a senior professional in order to provide advanced professional expertise and clinical leadership. As such, the post holder is expected at all times to conduct him/herself in such a manner as to be demonstrably helping the Trust to deliver its strategic and business objectives, and to act as an ambassador at the interface with external partners and stakeholders.

At no time must the post holder bring the Trust into disrepute.
