Overview

Trust Doctor in Histopathology based at Royal Surrey Hospital, Guildford as part of Berkshire and Surrey Pathology Services with Frimley Park Hospital, Wexham Park Hospital, Ashford, St Peter's Hospital, East Surrey Hospital and Royal Berkshire Hospital.

The post holder must be medically qualified and should hold GMC registration. Prior experience in cellular pathology is essential.

Background

Berkshire and Surrey Pathology Services is a single NHS Pathology directorate serving Ashford and St Peter's Hospital, Frimley Health, Royal Surrey Hospital NHS Foundation Trusts and SASH including St Luke's Cancer Centre and Royal Berkshire Hospital. As part of pathology service reconfiguration and the formation of BSPS, the Histology laboratory has been centralised at Royal Surrey Hospital for the Surrey sites. Service

We are clinically led and provide joined up care by bridging the gap between hospital and community services alongside regional specialist cancer care. Our main acute hospital site is in Guildford with community hospital sites at Milford, Haslemere and Cranleigh. We provide adult community health services in homes across Guildford and Waverley.
