A global ground improvement contractor in Hatfield, UK, is seeking a Transport and Depots Manager to oversee vehicle operations and depots across the UK and Ireland. This role entails ensuring all vehicles are compliant with regulations and managing fitters for maintenance. The ideal candidate has significant experience in fleet management, a Transport Manager CPC, and relevant licenses. As the Transport and Depots Manager, you will have responsibility for the management of all the vehicles, maintenance of equipment and the depots throughout the UK & Ireland. You will manage the fitters to ensure they are able to maintain the vehicles and the equipment on the vehicles to the standards as laid out in the Statutory Document for Transport Managers, and ensure all the depots are maintained in accordance with HSE and Statutory guidelines. You will be responsible for ensuring all operators of company vehicles are legally compliant and safe to be driving as per the company driving policy. You will liaise with the contracts managers, supervisory technicians and the operations team to ensure compliance with HSE and DOT standards are upheld. You will be responsible for the production of weekly & monthly management reporting on the status of the depots and the vehicle maintenance.

Someone who can work under pressure, solve problems and is a good team player. Ability to manage the fitters where necessary and liaise with senior management as needed.
