Transport Scheduler

Location: Norwich, Norfolk

Salary: £30,000 – £36,000 per year

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Compass Point Recruitment is partnering with one of the UK's leading independently owned logistics companies in search of a Transport Scheduler. Due to continued expansion, we are seeking someone with experience in planning deliveries, scheduling vehicles, and providing daily support to drivers.

You will be part of a dynamic operations team responsible for planning a fleet of over 100 company-owned vehicles operating across the UK and Europe.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan collections and deliveries, ensuring adherence to schedules and optimal vehicle/driver utilisation
  • Schedule vehicles for servicing and MOTs in line with company requirements
  • Monitor driver progress to ensure timely deliveries and collections
  • Provide support to drivers on the road and liaise with customers when necessary
  • Ensure compliance with all road transport legislation and the Working Time Directive (WTD)
  • Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and managers
  • Support administrative tasks including order entry and data input
Experience & Skills
  • Proven experience in traffic planning, transport scheduling, or fleet handling
  • Background in logistics, distribution, or supply chain operations
  • Strong geographical knowledge of the UK and Europe highly advantageous
  • CPC qualification would be an advantage
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer literate
