Responsibilities

• Responsible for the development and communication of the daily activity plan using the planning system.
• Ensure the plan achieves defined KPI parameters and respects health and safety.
• Provide drivers with their route instruction and review the daily completion of plan.
• Administer IT systems ensuring they are updated in a timely and accurate manner.
• Ensure the plan is updated to reflect changes such as task variation and traffic restrictions.
• Review planning effectiveness on a regular basis to identify improvement opportunities.
• Liaise with third party resource providers for clarity of requirements.
• Provide out of hours on call support via a rota.

Experience :

2 years of experience in a planning role with the transport & logistic industry.

Your responsibilities will include :

• Responsible for the development and communication of the daily activity plan using the planning system
• Ensure the plan achieves the defined KPI parameters and respects health and safety of the team and environmental impact of the operation
• Provide drivers with their route instruction and review the daily completion of plan
• Administer as appropriate the IT systems ensuring that they are updated in a timely and accurate manner
• Ensure the plan is updated to reflect changes such as task variation, driver unavailability, traffic restrictions etc.
• Review planning effectiveness on a regular basis to identify opportunities for improvement in service, cost and resource utilisation
• Liaise with third party resource providers to ensure clarity of requirements and expectations (agency and sub-contract providers)
• Provide out of hours on call support (via a rota)
