You’ll be joining a team where your ideas directly influence how Sheffield develops and connects. As a Transport Planner, you’ll help create sustainable, accessible and well‑designed places while building a rewarding and future‑focused career.
Contribute to a wide variety of development planning schemes. Prepare technical reports, produce transport assessments and travel plans, and use modelling tools such as Junctions 9 and LINSIG. Support multi‑disciplinary project teams and gain exposure to projects ranging from small residential developments to large commercial and mixed‑use schemes, giving you variety and the opportunity to take ownership of your work.
Experience in development planning and a strong understanding of UK planning policy. Confidence producing Transport Assessments and Travel Plans, using junction modelling software, interpreting data, and presenting findings clearly. Strong analytical ability, a proactive mindset and a motivation to continue developing professionally.
