Transport Planner - Southampton - Up to £40,000

Our client, a recognized transport company, is looking for an experienced Transport Planner to join their team in Southampton.

Job type: Permanent

Hours: Monday to Friday with 1 in 4 Saturdays (Hours start between 6am and 9am)

Salary: Up to £40,000 DOE

The Role

• Routing company-owned vehicles.
• Plan routes as cost effectively as possible.
• Plan routes in line with WTD and Drivers Hours.
• Ensure all customers are kept up to date.
• All necessary admin must be completed.
• Work with the Manager to ensure that all vehicles are in compliance with company standards.
• Perform and correctly implement general administration, e.g. costing, agreeing charge rates with contractors, queries in accordance with the company's requirements.
