Job summary

TradeChoice Carpet & Flooring in Glasgow is seeking a highly organised Transport & Operations Administrator to support our busy branch. You will coordinate transport tasks, handle admin, and help deliver excellent customer service and growth.

Working closely with the Branch Manager, Internal Sales team, and Drivers, you will improve efficiency, book stock, process returns, and manage daily vehicle routing while maintaining compliance and accurate records.

Qualifications

• Be highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
• Be confident managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Have strong administrative and IT skills.
• Be an effective communicator with a customer-focused approach.
• Be able to work independently while collaborating with colleagues across the business.
• Experience in transport administration, logistics, or a similar operational role would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage transport administration, ensuring all vehicle compliance is maintained, including booking and monitoring PMIs.
• Complete driver hours legislation paperwork and maintain accurate transport records.
• Plan and coordinate daily vehicle routing.
• Handle all transport-related administration and paperwork.
• Process customer returns, including faulty goods and returned IBOs, liaising with the Redditch branch.
• Book stock into the system accurately.
• Unpick and unpack customer orders where required.
• Complete end-of-day driver paperwork and report vehicle defects.
• Produce end-of-day invoicing and ensure any outstanding invoices are completed the following morning.
• Support the Internal Sales team during busy periods by taking customer calls, processing orders via telephone and email.
• Assisting with new account openings.
• Contribute to improving branch efficiency by taking ownership of key administrative and transport processes.
