Job summary

Adecco is seeking an organised Operations Administrator to join a busy transport team in the UK. You will support Transport Managers, be the first point of contact for drivers and customers, and handle enquiries by phone and email.

This role offers variety and the opportunity to develop into a key member of the transport department, with learning across operations and a strong team environment.

Qualifications

• Administration experience in transport, logistics, fleet management or vehicle operations is advantageous.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Positive, flexible and team-focused attitude; eager to learn and develop.

Responsibilities

• Support Transport Managers with day-to-day operations.
• Act as first point of contact for drivers, customers and depot colleagues.
• Handle customer and operational enquiries via telephone and email.
• Monitor shared inboxes and ensure queries are resolved promptly.
• Assist with reception duties, including answering calls and welcoming visitors.
• Build strong working relationships with customers and drivers.
• Provide administrative support across the transport department.
• Learn all aspects of the transport operation to provide cover when required.
