A leading food and drink wholesaler in Park Gate is seeking a Transport Clerical Assistant to support the transport operation. This role involves administrative tasks such as producing delivery paperwork, monitoring schedules, and communicating with team members. Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a positive attitude. Familiarity with HGV drivers is a plus, and the company is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace.
Shift Pattern: Double Days Rotation: any 5 out of 7
1st week: 06:00 - 14:00
2nd week: 14:00 - 22:00
As a Transport Clerical Assistant at Booker, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day administration of the transport operation, ensuring goods are delivered efficiently, accurately, and on time. Working closely with the Transport Team, drivers, and warehouse colleagues, you will help maintain smooth logistics operations while providing excellent administrative and customer service support.
This role is ideal for someone who is highly organised, detail‑focused, and confident working in a fast‑paced environment where accuracy and communication are essential.
Whether it’s giving drivers their paperwork, supporting with route departures, gathering Tachograph reports, debriefing drivers or generally being supportive with any challenges that arise, you’ll be an essential part of the Transport Operations Team.
Experience with HGV drivers or within a similar transport role would be ideal however, we will consider transferable skills.
