Transport and Plant Manager

Co. Down – Newry

This is a newly created role within a specialist contractor who are seeking for a Transport and Plant Manager to join their highly successful team on a permanent basis

About you

• Previous experience within the fleet management environment
• Full driving licence
• Computer literate

Duties

• Manage Company Plant & Transport and manage the function to ensure that agreed standards and targets are achieved.
• Undertake driver interviews and/or disciplinary meetings
• Co-ordination and delivery of Driver inductions, risk assessments and ongoing training requirements
• Manage driving licences
• Deliver tool box talks
• Deal with fleet administration
• Manage drivers
• Manage vehicle maintenance inspections and servicing planner
• Coordinate with Site Foremen on a daily basis to plan the schedule of lorries for the next day
• Manage tracker information
• Manage the Transport training needs of the business ensuring that all training is available as required with specific reference to Driver CPC.
• Other adhoc duties
