Cardiff Council is seeking a dedicated Training and Development Officer - Adult Services to join our Social Care Workforce team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of a skilled, competent and confident social care workforce, supporting both student social workers and qualified practitioners across the service.

About the Role

In this role, you will support the delivery of professional development initiatives aligned with the Social Care Wales Workforce Development Programme, working closely with the Training Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate, monitor and evaluate social care work placements.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • A recognised Social Work qualification and registration with Social Care Wales.
  • Proven experience within statutory social care settings.
  • Strong understanding of Social Care Wales standards, legislation and professional practice guidance.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration and report‑writing skills.
  • Ability to manage change, support workforce development and work with multiple stakeholders.
  • Desirable qualifications include Practice Assessing, PTTLS/Education & Training, PGCE, or experience in programme design and evaluation.
