A leading children's care provider in the United Kingdom is seeking Trainee Residential Youth Workers to support young people aged 11 to 16 in residential homes. The role requires individuals who are patient, confident, and reliable, capable of engaging with children facing diverse challenges. You'll assist them with daily tasks and participate in their social activities. Full training and qualifications will be provided, and candidates should be flexible regarding shifts, with options available for full-time and part-time hours.
We are recruiting Trainee Residential Youth Workers to join our team to work in children’s residential care homes and Independent Living settings.
You will be working with young people aged 11 to 16 who have been placed into the care system for numerous reasons with an array of disorders, behaviours and needs and therefore require individuals who have the confidence, patience and skill set to successfully work with these children and make a positive impact on their lives.
Position involves providing security, guidance, interaction and support to children within residential or independent living setting with the intention of creating an environment that caters for a young person’s intellectual, spiritual, social and emotional needs.
In this role you will be part of a team to support the children throughout the day with basic tasks as supporting with meal preparation, education and shopping.
Please note we are looking for flexible, reliable and interactive individuals that want to work within a specialist environment where full training and qualifications are provided to the right candidates.
A driving license is advantages for this position as you will often be asked to drive the unit car and take the young person (s) to destinations such as family contacts, school and social activities.
We are looking for individuals who are looking to work full-time and part-time hours within a zero hour contract with the focus of progressing to full-time contracts.
Please note that you would be required to complete an enhanced DBS with Fulbridge Social Care and successfully complete one of our induction programmes prior to any placements being offered unless you are on the new national DBS database.
Shifts patterns available are :
8am – 11pm
8am + Sleep
3pm – 11pm
11pm – 8am (Waking Night)
