Overview

Thinking about a career change? Want to start working in schools but don’t have formal experience yet? This Trainee Teaching Assistant role is the perfect first step. It is a hands‑on, real experience in a variety of school settings where you’ll support teachers in the classroom, work 1:1 with pupils, help small groups, encourage learning and confidence, and be a positive role‑model for children. No two days will ever be the same – you’ll learn on the job, gain valuable skills, and discover whether a career in education is right for you.

Key Details

Pay: £13.70 per hour  Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm  Contract: Flexible (covering staff absence and short‑term needs). Roles can lead to long‑term or permanent opportunities for the right people. A car or reliable transport is an advantage as you will work across different schools.
