Job description

We are looking for a drainage engineer / trainee plumber to work on various projects within our Rail Sector based out of Rainham. This role is working under the Reactive works manager and you will be responsible for carrying out urgent repairs to drainage & plumbing systems mainly on London Underground and TfL Sites and other contracts.

Responsibilities

• Respond quickly to emergency plumbing and drainage issues during shifts to minimise service disruption.
• Carry out reactive maintenance on toilets pipework pumps valves cisterns and underground drainage systems.
• Ensure all work complies with TfL standards safety regulations and company procedures.
• Provide real-time job updates and completion reports to the Control Centre.
• Identify root causes of faults and advise on any required follow-up or preventative work.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.
• Ensure all works are carried out in line with approved method statements and safe system of work under the health and safety regulations.
• Liaising with wide range internal staff and providing good customer service to the general public and the client.

Experience and qualifications for the role

• Drainage and plumbing experience preferred but not essential
• Full UK driving licence

Training

• You will need to be prepared to undergo training in core skills and obtain a Sentinel railway Industry Common Induction (ICI).
• Opportunity for drainage or plumbing qualification
