Job description

This is a Permanent position and Coleman James Ltd are acting as an Employment Agency.

Due to departmental growth a vacancy has arisen for an experienced time served HGV trailer technician to join our ranks. This is a full-time position as a trailer technician within the Fleet Department.

Working Arrangements: 37.5 hours Monday to Friday 07:30 - 15:30. Overtime available.

Responsibilities

• Completing planned 8-weekly inspections
• Applying proven trailer technician expertise to maintain and repair equipment
• Ensuring all tasks are carried out to the highest standards.
• Carry out on-site repairs as required.
• Demonstrating strong knowledge of pneumatics and electrics.

Requirements

• Ability to work alone as well as in a team
• Adhere to all health and safety policies
• Holds recognised qualification in HGV/trailer maintenance or equivalent experience.
• Has strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Maintains accurate service and repair records.
• Possesses a flexible approach with the ability to respond to operational needs at short notice in all weather conditions.
• Demonstrates excellent attention to detail and takes pride in workmanship.
• Someone who is proactive in identifying potential faults and implement solutions.
