Job summary

Howdens Joinery Limited is seeking a Business Developer to grow the local depot by engaging with trade customers face-to-face and over the phone. You will generate leads, arrange appointments, and move opportunities through the pipeline in partnership with Kitchen Sales Designers and Territory Sales Representatives.

You’ll work in a busy depot environment, comfortable with targets, and motivated by results. This role offers a competitive package and opportunities for career progression.

Qualifications

• Experience in telesales, account management or a customer-focused role is helpful.
• Confident communicator with excellent verbal and written skills.
• Ability to build relationships and turn conversations into opportunities.
• Commercially minded with a focus on driving sales and adding value.
• Self-motivated, proactive and well-organised.

Responsibilities

• Call existing trade customers to build long-term relationships and grow future business.
• Use customer data to spot inactivity and bring accounts back on track.
• Manage a targeted customer list and hit daily call targets.
• Keep up to date with customer projects to identify opportunities to add value.
• Arrange surveys and appointments for Kitchen Sales Designers.
• Promote products, offers and events to keep customers engaged.
• Assist with administration, including invoicing and depot tasks.
• Collaborate with the depot team to hit targets and deliver great service.
