Job summary

Howdens Joinery is recruiting a Business Developer to grow our local depot in Greater London. You will engage with trade customers face to face and by phone, build strong relationships, and identify opportunities to increase spend.

Working with Kitchen Sales Designers and Territory Sales Representatives, you will convert conversations into opportunities and sales. You’ll generate leads, arrange appointments, and keep the pipeline moving in a fast-paced depot environment.

Qualifications

• Confident communicator with customers face to face and on the phone.
• Ability to build relationships and convert conversations into opportunities.
• Commercial mindset focused on driving sales and adding value.

Responsibilities

• Call existing trade customers to build long-term relationships and grow future business.
• Use customer data to spot inactivity and win back accounts.
• Manage a targeted customer list and hit daily call activity targets.
• Keep up-to-date with customer projects to identify value-add opportunities.
• Arrange surveys and appointments for Kitchen Sales Designers.
• Promote products, offers and events to keep customers engaged.
• Support administration including invoicing and depot tasks.
• Collaborate with the depot team to hit targets and deliver great service.
