Job summary

Howdens Joinery is seeking a Business Developer to grow our local depot, primarily through face-to-face and phone conversations with trade customers. You’ll identify opportunities to increase spend, support the depot team, and help convert conversations into sales.

You’ll work closely with Kitchen Sales Designers and Territory Sales Representatives, driving pipeline activity, arranging appointments, and contributing to a busy, target-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Confident communicator able to speak to customers face to face and on the phone.
• Proactive in building relationships and converting conversations into opportunities.
• Commercially minded with a focus on driving sales and value.
• Self-motivated, positive and proactive with strong organization.

Responsibilities

• Call existing trade customers to build long-term relationships and grow future business.
• Use customer data to spot inactivity and reactivate accounts.
• Manage a targeted customer list and achieve daily call activity levels.
• Arrange surveys/appointments for Kitchen Sales Designers and promote offers.
