Toolroom Machinist
We are looking for an experienced Toolroom Machinist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for producing high-quality tooling components and maintaining dies and fixtures to support our fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment. You\'ll work with a range of machining processes, including conventional, CNC, and EDM wire erosion, ensuring components meet strict tolerances and quality standards.

Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum
Hours: Double Days - 6:00am-2:00pm & 2:00pm-10:00pm
Location: Coventry CV5
Key Responsibilities
- Manufacture components to exact specifications using turning, milling, CNC milling, EDM, and cutter grinder equipment (training provided where needed).
- Program, set, and operate EDM wire erosion machines.
- Use CAD/CAM software for programming and machining (training provided where needed).
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, including GD&T standards.
- Maintain tooling, machinery, and equipment in proper working order.
- Ensure components meet rigorous quality and tolerance requirements.
- Collaborate closely with Toolroom colleagues and support other manufacturing areas when required.
- Assist in training apprentices and junior team members.
- Participate in Kaizen and GEAR activities, driving continuous improvement.
- Follow departmental and company procedures, escalating any quality or safety issues.
- Support management with manufacturing-related reporting and analysis when needed.

- Work in line with IATF16949, ISO14001, and ISO45001 standards.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
- Take ownership of safety and quality by stopping any process where issues are identified.
What We\'re Looking For
- Certified Toolroom Machinist or equivalent hands-on experience, including Wire EDM processes.
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and route cards.
- Familiarity with MRP systems and modern manufacturing environments.
- Proactive and team-oriented approach with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Flexibility to work additional hours when required to meet delivery deadlines.
- Accuracy in data entry and effective communication within multicultural teams
