About The Role

Bespak is looking for a Tooling Assistant for the Kings Lynn site, PE30 2JJ. The salary range for this permanent onsite role is between £34,500 and £39,500 (includes shift allowance). Our generous benefits package includes 28 days leave plus bank holidays, 8% company pension contribution to employees 3%, onsite parking and medical / dental / health / life assurance.

Working Pattern

3 Shift Mon to Fri – 2pm to 10:30pm / 6am to 2:30pm / 10pm to 6:30am

Responsibilities

As a Tooling Assistant, you will primarily service and maintain complex injection mould tools to meet business requirements and quality standards. You will complete tool servicing and basic repairs, providing timely and high‑quality work while operating and maintaining Toolroom equipment. A primary part of your role involves diligently executing tasks, maintaining accurate documentation, and strictly prioritizing health, safety, and product quality in all your activities. Furthermore, you will support continuous improvement and assist Toolmakers and apprentices to enhance manufacturing robustness and compliance.

  • Service and maintain complex injection mould tools effectively.
  • Perform troubleshooting and basic repairs, coordinating with Toolmakers.
  • Operate and maintain Toolroom equipment for cleaning tooling parts.
  • Maintain and update all relevant documentation to quality standards.
  • Prioritize and promote health, safety, and product quality consistently.
  • Support Toolmakers; coach apprentices; drive continuous improvement actions.
Preferred key skills and experience
  • Relevant qualifications or experience in mechanical engineering.
  • Analytical and problem‑solving skills in tooling.
  • Demonstrated ability to read technical engineering drawings.
  • Good understanding of moulding principles and processing fault‑finding.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills at all levels.
  • Proven ability to plan and execute activities independently.
