TIG Welder

Location: Yeovil

Job Type: Full-time Temp to Perm

Hours:07:45am-16:45pm Monday-Thursday 07:45am-13:30pm Friday

An established engineering and manufacturing business is seeking a skilled TIG Welder to join its production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality welded components to precise specifications, working with a range of materials in a safety-focused, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out TIG welding on components to engineering drawings and specifications

  • Work with materials such as stainless steel, aluminium, and mild steel

  • Ensure all welds meet required quality, strength, and finish standards

  • Read and interpret technical drawings and welding symbols

  • Set up, adjust, and maintain welding equipment as required

  • Conduct visual inspections of completed welds and identify any defects and carry out weld repairs.

  • Follow health & safety procedures and maintain a clean, organised workspace

  • Collaborate with fabrication and production teams to meet deadlines

  • Assist with rework or corrective actions where necessary

  • Adhere to company quality systems and production processes

Candidate Requirements
  • Proven experience as a TIG Welder in a manufacturing or engineering environment

  • Air tools and visual inspection experience
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

  • Good time management and ability to work independently or as part of a team
