Job description
Therapy Radiographer

We are recruiting for Therapy Radiographer who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated therapy radiographer to join us at the Mount Vernon Cancer Centre, based in Northwood, Middlesex.

You will work as an unsupervised worker and supervise junior staff and students and assistants.

In addition, you will receive a High-Cost Area Supplement of 15% of your basic salary, subject to a minimum payment of £4,552 and a maximum payment of £5,735 per annum pro rata.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out complex technical radiotherapeutic procedures on all the treatment and pre-treatment units in the department on a rotational basis.
  • Act appropriately on patient care, assessment of treatment progress and side effects making appropriate referral to the multi-disciplinary team.
  • Assess patients level of knowledge before commencing with treatment and thus participate in the informed consent process.
  • Provide appropriate information or referring to support services.
  • Guide, instruct and support patients receiving radiotherapy and advise patients on necessary aftercare.
