Job description

We are looking for an AHP with a passion for AHP services to join us as Therapy Lead for community services in community. Our services are delivered across Scarborough / Ryedale / Whitby and Pocklington. We are open to considering a flexible base for the post.

Main duties of the job

The therapy lead will provide clinical leadership to the aligned clinical services including urgent community response, intermediate care and community AHP services. The post holder will report to the divisional clinical lead and provide visible leadership across a range of service settings, monitoring and maintaining high professional standards.

The post holder needs to be an innovative and dynamic practitioner committed to improving the patient experience, improving standards of care and services, supporting the leadership team in delivering the trust strategy whilst upholding the trust strategy and values.

The post holder will be an integral member of the senior leadership team providing support to implement and monitor progress on delivery of strategic objectives to ensure the provision of high-quality care.

They will provide clinical advice and link with the trust AHP professional leads for advice as required. Actively contributing to innovative solutions driving forwards quality improvement work and ensuring that high standards of care are maintained and delivered. They will ensure that services are using evidence to support safe and effective service delivery and contribute to the delivery of the patient safety and quality agenda.

Qualifications, Education and training
  • Current AHP registration and be on the NMC/HCPC live register
  • Educated to Masters Level or Masters level/Post Graduate modules plus significant advanced knowledge/ experience
  • Be on the live register of mentors if required for the service area
  • Prepared to undertake or hold a recognised non-medical prescribing qualification, if required
  • Successful completion of non-medical prescribing course if required
  • Teaching qualification
