Portland Hospital Theatre Supply Chain Coordinator – City of Westminster, London

Location: The Portland Hospital, London

Employment: Full time 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday, Permanent

Salary: £27,222 per annum plus excellent benefits

We are currently seeking a Supply Chain Coordinator to join The Portland Hospital. You will be responsible for making sure stock levels are accurate at all times, ensuring the replenishment of stock is done in a timely manner and orders are placed to the suppliers on time.

What you'll do
  • Check the theatre bookings daily and liaise with theatres to obtain the information to ensure that all loan kits required for surgery have been requested for upcoming procedures in time
  • Accept delivery of loan equipment and record delivery information on arrival and departure – obtain signature from courier where possible
  • Unpack and thoroughly check instrument sets and prosthesis against vendor delivery note. All sets to be photographed on arrival and prior to departure and saved in evidence folder with discrepancies noted
  • Liaise with the Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) / Company representative immediately if missing instruments or prosthesis are noted
  • After procedure, all missing items to be recorded and processed on requisition form. Information to be shared with OR Analyst for charging purposes
  • Following the use of loan sets, liaise with CDU supervisor regarding the return of the kit. Investigate any missing instruments with CDU
  • Managing loan kit exceptions – This includes working with AP, Theatres and Purchasing to ensure any loan kit issues are resolved by providing documentation, obtaining credit notes, ensuring POs are receipted in SMART and all the correct item lines have been added to requisitions
  • Consignment – Ensure any consigned stock is checked for completeness, managing expiry dates and highlight any close to expiry with clinical teams. Work with Materials Theatre MMs to replenish consignment stocks and assist with investigating and reporting any discrepancies
  • Any other departmental tasks requested by Line Manager
