As a Scrub Practitioner or Theatre Practitioner (ODP), you will work in a multi‑disciplinary team covering a varied patient caseload. The role involves using state‑of‑the‑art technology, equipment and facilities; supervising, supporting and developing junior members of the team; providing high‑quality perioperative care in a multidisciplinary team setting; creating high‑quality care and patient experiences that are clinically effective and evidence based; and having ample opportunities for continuous growth and personal development, which can include Surgical First Assist training.
Nuffield Health North Staffordshire Hospital is recognised for its expert clinical care, expertise and friendly atmosphere. Our 39‑bed purpose‑built hospital houses 3 theatres and a minor treatment facility, supported by busy outpatient departments, physiotherapy, pathology, CT, MRI and diagnostic imaging services. Conveniently located on Clayton Road, off the A519, we provide free parking for staff.
Theatre Practitioner – OPERATING DEPARTMENT PRACTITIONER – SCRUB (RGN / ODP) at North Staffs Hospital. Nursing, Permanent, Full time, includes weekend work. Up to £38,000 per annum depending on experience – 37.5 hours per week. You will be focused, detail‑oriented, empathetic with great communication skills, registered with the appropriate governing body (NMC or HCPC) and bring the qualifications and experience relevant to your registration, including post‑registration experience in Scrub roles within a Theatre environment.
