Main duties of the job

As a Scrub Practitioner or Theatre Practitioner (ODP), you will work in a multi‑disciplinary team covering a varied patient caseload. The role involves using state‑of‑the‑art technology, equipment and facilities; supervising, supporting and developing junior members of the team; providing high‑quality perioperative care in a multidisciplinary team setting; creating high‑quality care and patient experiences that are clinically effective and evidence based; and having ample opportunities for continuous growth and personal development, which can include Surgical First Assist training.

Job description

Theatre Practitioner – OPERATING DEPARTMENT PRACTITIONER – SCRUB (RGN / ODP) at North Staffs Hospital. Nursing, Permanent, Full time, includes weekend work. Up to £38,000 per annum depending on experience – 37.5 hours per week. You will be focused, detail‑oriented, empathetic with great communication skills, registered with the appropriate governing body (NMC or HCPC) and bring the qualifications and experience relevant to your registration, including post‑registration experience in Scrub roles within a Theatre environment.

Qualifications
