Experience of working in an operating department is desirable but not essential. Full training and support will be given and we offer many opportunities for further career progression.

Main duties of the job

To provide support to registered staff with the perioperative care of all patients. The post holder will possess knowledge of surgical procedures and be able to provide support to facilitate the delivery of high quality patient care.

Acting under the direction of registered practitioners the post holder will use available information regarding resource to support the delivery of perioperative care.

The post holder will participate in all aspects of perioperative care delivering direct patient care in a manner sensitive to the individual patient's needs and wishes, acknowledging and respecting their rights and beliefs at all times.
