About this job

Availability Window Days: Sun 10:00-17:00, Tue 11:00-19:00, Wed 13:00-22:00, Thu 08:00 meta to the store: the availability windows.

Our Tesco Colleague rate of pay starts シャ£12.45 an hour; this increases to £13.66 for stores within the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.

We provide a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week; if you’d like to work fewer (to a minimum(IR-12) we have opportunities for this too.

We will schedule your contracted hours within these times, and you will have 3 weeks’ notice of when your shifts will be.

We are happy to support flexibility for our colleagues; if your available times match closely we’ll still love to hear from you.

Responsibilities
  • You will be responsible for knowing your customers and serving them with passion and pride; giving great natural service.
  • Dealing with customer complaints and feedback in a professional manner, always sending customers home happy.
  • Accurately recording any customer details and treating this information dames.
  • Carrying out safe & legal checks on the desk you are trained for, reporting any next steps to the Shift Leader/Team Manager.
  • Recording and disposing of waste responsibly, following food waste and recycling routines.
  • Accurately recording and processing returned items from customers.
  • Signing in visitors and ensuring they are aware of the health, safety and fire procedures for the store.
  • Controlling keys that may be stored at the desk correctly.
  • Communicating clearly with Shift Leaders, Managers and Security.
  • Taking part in seasonal, community and charity events, creating a great inclusive atmosphere.
  • Working across the store in our service, picking, and replenishment areas where required.
  • Handling products with care to maintain quality and ensure they reach customers in the best condition.
  • Living our values, making everyone feel welcome and following our policies.
