Job summary

Howdens Joinery is looking for a Territory Sales Representative to grow a local customer base across a defined territory in the UK. The role focuses on winning new business, building strong trade relationships, and delivering sustainable growth with depot colleagues.

You will manage opportunities from first contact through to sale, maintain accurate pipeline data, and ensure safe, professional customer interactions. A full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in winning new business or target-driven sales
• Ability to engage trade customers from first conversation
• Strong organisation skills for a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Win new business by proactively approaching prospective customers and converting opportunities into accounts.
• Grow and nurture the trade account base across your territory in collaboration with depot teams.
• Introduce new customers to the Howdens model and articulate its benefits.
• Collaborate with depot teams to increase account spend and trading frequency.
• Build lasting relationships with new and existing customers.
• Handle customer enquiries from first contact to resolution.
• Contribute insights and performance updates in team meetings.
• Keep data accurate and visible across activity and pipeline.
• Work safely and in line with Health & Safety standards
