Consultant - UK Civil/Structural Engineering
Shape the Temporary Works function for a growing Scottish office.
We’re working with a fast-growing, multidisciplinary consultancy that’s doubling in size and building out its technical capability in Scotland. Following a successful period of growth across five UK offices, they’re now looking to appoint an experienced Temporary Works Engineer to take the lead in delivering the temporary works projects from their Glasgow base.
You’ll join a close-knit team with the backing of a 2,500-strong global group, offering the best of both worlds: autonomy and opportunity.
Leading the development of a Temporary Works discipline in-house
Designing and checking temporary works solutions across buildings, civils, and renewables projects
Supporting framework clients including Scottish Power, local authorities, and contractors
Providing temporary works advice during tender and construction phases
Mentoring junior staff or collaborating with a Temporary Works Technician
Working across a range of sectors including schools, hospitals, bridges, and substations
Strong experience in Temporary Works design and implementation
Excellent understanding of Eurocodes, CDM regulations, and site methodologies
Ability to lead conversations with clients and site teams
Chartered or near Chartered status (CEng or IEng) ideal
A proactive, solutions-led attitude with the ability to work independently
Autonomy to build a new function within a high-calibre engineering team
