Responsibilities

• Develop and check temporary works designs including access scaffolds, formwork, falsework, excavation support, working platforms, lifting points, and crane foundations.
• Ensure all designs and processes comply with BS5975 and relevant safety standards.
• Liaise closely with project managers, site teams, and design consultants to deliver practical, cost-effective solutions.
• Conduct site inspections and provide on-site technical support throughout project delivery.
• Prepare and review design briefs, method statements, and risk assessments.
• Maintain the Temporary Works Register and ensure control and sign-off procedures are followed.

Requirements

• Experience working in temporary works design - ideally within energy, utilities, or infrastructure projects.
• Sound understanding of construction techniques and temporary works principles.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines.
• Competent user of AutoCAD and design software
