Job description

Our established and well-respected exhibition client based in the Shropshire countryside is looking for a full-time telesales person till March 2026 to join their successful and forward-thinking team.

This role is an integral part of our events & exhibitions team selling exhibition space for an exhibition, you will be providing customer care and developing long-term relationships with exhibitors and identifying and securing new exhibitors.

Your job means you will need to gain a thorough understanding of all the product areas, help drive new exhibition business sales within the manufacturing technology sector with the full support of all departments, promoting the Membership services to member companies and using new Business leads to sell Membership & Services to potential members and assist in growing Members.

You will also be selling exhibition space to new exhibitors via a variety of media, including trade press, telesales, email and direct postal marketing and selling sponsorship to exhibitors. Alongside you will be developing and maintaining a database of exhibitors and potential exhibitors, including researching and identifying new potential members/exhibitors, as well as ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining contact with the exhibitors before, during and after.

Ideal Candidate
  • Good sales ability, with a clear understanding of how to close a sale over the telephone – Experience in a similar role
  • A positive approach, self-motivated with a desire to succeed
  • Outgoing, enthusiastic and hungry to succeed, with capability of building and maintaining new and existing customer relationships
  • Ability to work with many clients at the same time
  • Ability to multitask and communicate with clients via phone, email and Teams
  • Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to illustrate excellent customer service skills
  • A confident and professional telephone manner
  • Creative thinking and problem solving
  • Ability to focus on your own work and work as part of a team
  • Take ownership of after sales care if necessary
Hours

Monday – Friday 9-5pm

Salary

£27,500 Plus Commission
