Job description

Are you a certified and experienced telehandler driver available for immediate short-term holiday cover? We require a reliable operator for a busy new build housing site in Beverley starting immediately.

The Role and Responsibilities

You will play a vital role in maintaining the flow of materials and site efficiency during this crucial cover period.

• Safe operation of the telehandler, including transporting and positioning various materials (e.g., bricks, insulation, roof trusses) around the development.

• Loading and unloading delivery vehicles promptly and securely.
• Conducting mandatory daily pre-start safety checks on the machine and immediately reporting any mechanical defects.
• Working closely with the Site Manager and various trade teams.
• Strict adherence to all site Health & Safety guidelines, particularly concerning lifting operations and restricted access areas.

Essential Requirements

• A valid CPCS or NPORS Telehandler certification is mandatory.
• A valid CSCS Card is essential for site access.
• Proven experience operating a telescopic handler on an active residential construction site.
• High level of reliability and punctuality for the specified contract duration.
• Must supply and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Full UK driving licence.
