Job summary

A telecom solution provider in Scotland is seeking a Streetwork Coordinator to manage traffic work permits and ensure compliance with regulations. Ideal candidates will have experience in network management, a solid understanding of permit schemes, and NRSWA accreditation. This role also requires strong technical skills, PC literacy, and the ability to build relationships with various stakeholders. Competitive salary offered.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a network management environment.
  • Working knowledge of permit schemes for road and street works.
  • Relevant knowledge of legislation and codes of practice related to the role.
  • Experience in successfully working to targets and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word and Excel.
  • Familiarity with street works management systems such as Street Manager, Confirm, NSG, and one.network.
  • Educated to GCSE standard.
  • New Roads and Street Works Act (NRSWA) accreditation required.
  • Full, valid driving licence.

Responsibilities

  • Apply for traffic management street work permits from local authorities.
  • Utilize knowledge of UK regions for permit applications.
  • Demonstrate strong technical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ensure highest possible service availability and performance.
  • Monitor compliance with street work regulations.
  • Provide solutions and foster collaborative working relationships.
  • Ensure timely responses to permit applications.
  • Liaise with customers, local authorities, and utilities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with statutory undertakers.
  • Coordinate requests for highway occupation effectively.
